CFCS - Coordinator of Community Support Services
Ariel Alonso has been a part of the management team for Catholic Family and Community Services for the last 20 years. A graduate of St. Peter’s College in Jersey City, NJ, Ariel has attended numerous professional seminars, workshops and training programs for the varied
programs he has overseen.
Ariel has held various positions within CFCS. He began his career with CFCS in 1995, working as the Coordinator for Teen Center, an Adolescent Emergency Shelter. In 1997, he became the Director of Community Supports Department until 2013 when he accepted the position of Program Director for the Teen Center, overseeing operations for both the male and female adolescent group homes. In 2014, he returned to the Community Support Services Department (CSS) to manage CSS and supervise the Support Services to Veteran Families (SSVF) program. That same year, he was appointed the Coordinator of Disabled Adult Services at the Multi-Lingual Center (MLC). Ariel Alonso has now accepted the position of Coordinator of Community Support Services. In this new leadership position, he will oversee both the MLC and CSS departments.
Ariel Alonso values his opportunity to work with consumers in the areas of: child welfare, senior services, homeless prevention, veteran services, mental health and development disabilities. He looks forward to this new endeavor working with CFCS staff to continue providing services to the many needy families suffering hardship and needing relief.
