Bishop blesses new chapel, consecrates new altar at St. Clare Parish

CLIFTON  Bishop Serratelli blessed the new chapel at St. Clare Church here Dec. 15. The new chapel is called the Divine Mercy Chapel and was dedicated during the Holy Year of Mercy. The chapel is intended to be a place of prayer and devotion to the Eucharistic Lord and to the Divine Mercy Novena instituted by St. Faustina. The chapel will be opened Monday through Thursday during regular parish business hours. Eventually, the parish hopes to offer days of Eucharistic Adoration. Father Peter Glabik, pastor, said, “We are grateful to Andrew Blaskewicz for his generous donation in honor of his parents for making the chapel a reality.”
