May/June 2016 Window, Organ, Electrical, and Pew Restorations

Progress continues on every aspect of the
project, even off site in the workshops of the vendors.

STAINED GLASS

Bishop, Fr. Kevin, and Gino from Botti Studios discuss the process of creating standoffs to provide ventilation between the stained glass and the protective windows.

The rose stained glass windows above the main entrance doors are removed, templeted, packaged, and sent to the Botti Studio for restoration.

Stained glass windows that have been restored at the Botti Studio
are installed, prepped and caulked.

Condensation ​​​​drip pans are installed.

Stained glass windows receive the first preliminary cleaning.  
Protective glazing arrives from the Botti Studio. 

 

ORGAN RESTORATION

ELECTRICAL

New Main panel under construction as the new cables are installed in the new conduit,
 



New junction boxes are intalled in the chapel for the future chandeliers.



New lighting panels are installed.
 



Ditches are dug to install the underground  cables and footings for the new exterior lighting.



PEW RESTORATION



The Keck Group finished the stripping of the existing pews.



The existing pew backs are stained.



Antique confessionals purchased from the Archdiocese of Newark are stained.
