CEDAR KNOLLS  Bishop Serratelli made a pastoral visit to Notre Dame of Mount Carmel Parish here where he celebrated a Mass of Thanksgiving honoring the parish’s Benedictine roots. The Mass was concelebrated by Father Patrick O’Donovan, Notre Dame’s pastor, and many Benedictine priests, including Benedictine Abbot Richard Cronin of St. Mary Abbey in Morristown and Benedictine Father Jude Salus, who served as Notre Dame for more than 25 years, first as parochial vicar and then as pastor. He was the last Benedictine pastor before the order handed the administration of the parish to the Diocese.
