BUDD LAKE Bishop Serratelli administered the Sacrament of Confirmation to young people at St. Jude Parish here May 12. The young people prepared for the sacrament through St. Jude’s religious education program.
St. Jude’s history began when St. Michael’s in Netcong began a summer mission in the Budd Lake section of Mount Olive Township as early as 1914. A church was built in 1946 on Mount Olive Road. The mission was advanced to parish status in 1967. The present church was built in 1987.
