PATERSON Bishop Serratelli celebrated Mass in the chapel of St. Joseph Regional Medical Center here on Ash Wednesday morning, where he distributed ashes to staff members of the hospital. Following Mass, he visited patients at the hospital and distributed ashes to them and blessed them.

CLIFTON Bishop Serratelli made a pastoral visit to Sacred Heart Church here Ash Wednesday, Feb. 18, where he celebrated Mass at noon and distributed ashes. Ash Wednesday began the holy season of Lent, a 40-day time of prayer, fasting and almsgiving.
