CHESTER Bishop Sweeney made a pastoral visit to Bethlehem Hermitage here last week where he celebrated Mass for the hermits and visitors in the chapel.
Founded March 15, 1975, Bethlehem Hermitage sits on 18 acres of land and consists of several small wooden cottages. The hermits live in his or her solitary cabin, combining hours of work with hours of prayer. The hermitage has cottages for guests and houses a central building with a chapel.
