ROCKAWAY TOWNSHIP Bishop Serratelli made a pastoral visit to St. Clement Pope and Martyr Parish here on Aug. 27 where he was main celebrant and homilist at the 5 p.m. Mass for the 22st Sunday in Ordinary Time.
St. Clement’s history dates back to 1964 when Bishop James Navagh established the parish to cover parts of the Rockaway Township and Dover. A church was built on Mount Pleasant Avenue in 1969. The parish marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 with a yearlong celebration.
