WEST MILFORD The faith community of St. Joseph Parish here on March 18 welcomed Bishop Serratelli, who served as main celebrant and homilist of the noon Mass to commemorate the Fifth Sunday of Lent. His visit also included Benediction. St. Joseph’s is the oldest parish in the Diocese and New Jersey.
Concelebrants of the liturgy included Father Aleksander Bialas, St. Joseph’s pastor; Father Zig Peplowski, pastor of St. Cecilia and Sacred Heart parishes, both in Rockaway, and a former pastor of St. Joseph’s; Father Pawel Szurek, pastor of St. Catherine of Bologna Parish, Ringwood; Father Lukasz Iwanczuk, parochial vicar at Our Lady of the Magnificat Parish, Kinnelon; Father Rafal Smola, a priest in the Newark Archdiocese; and Father Kevin Corcoran, diocesan vice chancellor and the Bishop’s priest-secretary.
