Simbang Gabi celebration concludes in Prospect Park

Bishop Kevin J. Sweeney celebrated Mass on the final night of the diocesan celebrations of Simbang Gabi on Dec. 23 in St. Paul Church in Prospect Park. Simbang Gabi is a Filipino tradition of a nine-day novena in preparation for the Nativity of Jesus Christ. Concelebrating the Mass was Father Henry Pinto, St. Paul’s pastor. “Simbang Gabi” means “Mass of the Night.”
