TOTOWA Little Sister of the Poor Veronica Coyle, assistant administrator, at St. Joseph’s Home for the Elderly here, marked her 50th jubilee anniversary in religious life with a Mass on May 1 in the chapel of the home.
Archbishop Emeritus Peter Leo Gerety of Newark, who at 102 is the oldest living bishop in the world and a resident at St. Joseph’s, concelebrated the Mass and gave a blessing to Sister Veronica. Relatives and friends of Sister Veronica also attended the Mass.
Sister Veronica made her profession on April 28, 1965 and has ministered in various homes of the Little Sisters of the Poor throughout the Untied States during her years in religious life.
