Bishop makes pastoral visit to St. Paul Parish in Clifton to celebrate the Feast of Epiphany
CLIFTON St. Paul Parish here welcomed Bishop Serratelli during his pastoral visit on the Feast of the Epiphany or Three Kings Day Jan. 4. The bishop celebrated Mass with Father Leonardo Jaramillo, St. Paul¹s pastor, as concelebrant.
The history of St. Paul Parish began in 1912 when St. Nicholas Parish in Passaic organized a mission in Clifton with Masses being celebrated at the Harding Avenue firehouse. A church was built on Union Avenue in 1914 and Bishop O¹Connor sent the first pastor that same year. The present church was built in 1938.
