Bishop presides over Lord’s Passion on Good Friday in Clifton

The faith community of St. Brendan and St. George in Clifton on April 7 welcomed Bishop Kevin J. Sweeney, who presided over the Celebration of the Lord’s Passion on Good Friday.
    The solemn service began with the Liturgy of the Word, including the account of the Passion and Death of Jesus. The Veneration of the Cross, an ancient practice, followed. Holy Communion, consecrated on Holy Thursday at the Mass of the Lord’s Supper, was distributed to the faithful.
