Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Let us be united in Prayer, praying especially for Peace in Ukraine. Let us be united with our Holy Father, Pope Francis and people of faith and good will throughout the world, asking God to touch the hearts of those who choose war and violence, that their hearts may be converted and that they may seek peaceful ways to resolve conflicts. I ask all the faithful of the Diocese of Paterson to be united in prayer for peace in Ukraine and for the protection of the Ukrainian people, our sisters and brothers, who are suffering at this time.
Pope Francis has asked everyone to “dedicate themselves intensely to prayer and fasting” for Peace, especially on Ash Wednesday, March 2nd, as we will begin the Holy Season of Lent. Following Pope Francis’ example, let us ask the intercession of our Blessed Mother, “Our Lady Queen of Peace, pray for us and pray for the people of Ukraine”
